Porque a veces, el silencio se llena de ausencias que aún no han llegado, pero que ya habitan los rincones de una casa, de una vida compartida.

Today I share a poem by Jesús Montiel, from the book Un palacio suficiente (Editorial Comares, 2022), which is a lesson in silent love, in anticipated farewells, and in gestures that need no explanation. Because sometimes, silence is filled with absences that have not yet arrived, but that already inhabit the corners of a house, of a shared life.
